Xiaomi Civi 2 will include a dual-camera setup in its display

Xiaomi said yesterday that it will show off the Civi 2 on September 27 at a two o’clock in the afternoon event in China. The company also showed us the back of the phone, which had three cameras, the best of which was a 50MP camera. Today, Xiaomi gave us more information about the Civi 2’s main camera and showed us the front of the phone.
The Xiaomi Civi 2 will have a screen with a pill-shaped notch in the middle where two 32MP wide and 32MP ultrawide cameras will be located. Some of you might think of Dynamic Island on the new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. But that’s interactive, and we still don’t know if Xiaomi has done something similar with the pill-shaped cutout on the Civi 2.
But it’s important to note that the phone won’t be the first Android phone with a pill-shaped cutout for selfie cameras. We’ve seen Android phones with pill-shaped cutouts before, like the Realme X50 Pro. However, those cutouts weren’t in the middle.

Also, Xiaomi has said that the main camera on the Civi 2; will use the same 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor as the Xiaomi 12, but the aperture will be f/1.8 instead of f/1.9.
The Chinese company also said that compared to its predecessor; the primary camera on the phone lets in 101.8% more light and takes photos 144% faster. With a 246% boost, the speed of taking photos at night sounds even more impressive. Xiaomi also talked about Bionic Eyes Atmospheric Portrait, but they didn’t say anything more about it.
One of the pictures Xiaomi shared showed; that the Civi 2 will support Dolby Atmos, and the pill-shaped cutout in the middle; will be surrounded by small flash modules on the top bezel to help users take brighter pictures in low light.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC is rumored to be at the heart of the Xiaomi Civi 2. With the full reveal still five days away; you can expect Xiaomi to show off a few more features of the phone; to get people excited about it.
