Samsung Galaxy M53 has launched in India with a Dimensity 900 processor
If you’ve been waiting for Samsung to show off its new phone, the Galaxy M53 is finally here. The phone will be sold through Amazon.in and Samsung.com.
On the Dimensity 900 SoC are either 6 or 8 gigs of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ screen with 1080 x 2408px resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, which is very good for its class.
The fingerprint reader is on the side of the frame, not under the screen. This is interesting. A phone with an OLED screen that has a side-mounted fingerprint reader is very rare.
The camera set-up is also good enough. A 108MP, f/1.8 main camera is joined by a standard 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide lens, two more 2MP sensors, and two more 2MP sensors. One of the 2MP sensors is used for macro shots, and the other is used to figure out how far away things are. The hole in the screen is for a 32MP, f/2.2 camera.
A 5,000 mAh battery that can charge at 25W is used to power all of that hardware. It’s likely that this battery is part of the Power Delivery 3.0 standard. On top of Android 12, the phone comes with One UI 4.1.
The Galaxy M53 comes in blue and green. 6GB starts at INR 26,499, but if you buy it before the price goes up, you’ll get it for INR 23,999. INR 25,999 for the 8GB version will be the first price, and INR 28,499 later on, will be the price for the 8GB version. The real sales start on April 29.
