Surprisingly given the speed of its new phone release, Realm is working on its next device and today a huge leak brings us its specs and some official-perspective images.
The device in question is called the Realme 8s, and despite the lack of 5G branding, it will be a 5G capable smartphone. In fact, it is a confusing addition to the Realme 8 family. Because of the 5G support, this can only be seen as a slight improvement over the Realme 8 5G, which it is. We’re not sure if this will be sold with all the other Realme 8 branded handsets.
However, let’s dive into the specification. The Realm 8s is said to have a 6.5-inch display (LCD or OLED unknown) with a 90 Hz refresh rate, a 64 MP primary rear camera, and a 16 MP selfie snapper. With 8/8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage, MediaTek’s Dimensity 810 SoC. The phone will run Android 11 with Realm UI 2.0 on top and has a 5,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging support.
Expected Specification of this Device(Realme 8s):
- 64MP Main Camera
- MediaTek’s Dimensity 810 SoC
- 8GB RAM
- 128/256GB Storage
- Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0
- Side Mounted Fingerprint
- 5,000 mAh Battery with 33 Watt Fast Charger
So we have the Realme 8 5G’s screen size and refresh rate, the Realme 8’s original camera, the same selfie snapper as other members of the family, and the same battery power as both the Realme 8 and 8 5G, but with faster charging than both of them. Oh, and the chipset is new to the series.
The Realme 8s will also have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor (which seems to lean the choice of the display towards the LCD, but this is not “confirmed” by rumors right now), a purple version, and a total of three rear cameras.
