A source who knows a lot about Apple said that the company plans to release the new iPhone 14 family earlier this year, even though the supply chain is tight and chip prices are going up. This shows that Apple has bought enough parts for its iPhones.
A new round of Apple hardware releases is widely anticipated to begin soon. According to a report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the event could happen on September 7 and the game could come out on September 16.
Apple has its annual launch event every September. Since the pandemic started, the event has changed to a Livestream that is very polished and well put together. Apple staff are reportedly recording the virtual presentation. According to the report, Apple will show off its new generation on September 7, and sales will start on September 16. This would give the company in Cupertino an extra week to make sales, which will likely help the company’s Q4 fiscal results. Since 2016, this is the earliest reveal.
iPhone 14 Design:
Apple may also be in a hurry because of an event in October. Several analysts think that the company will release new Macs and iPads at that event, so there should be enough time between the two.
Apple is likely to announce four new iPhone 14 models, new Mac computers, new iPads, and a new Apple Watch. With the iPhone 14, there won’t be a mini model. Instead, there will be two models with 6.1-inch screens and two with 6.7-inch screens. This is the first time Apple has made a 6.7-inch iPhone that isn’t a Pro model.
The iPhone 14 models are expected to have a new notch design with big improvements to the selfie camera. The iPhone 14 Pro will have a bigger camera island, and the new Pro models will have the A16 chipset. It is also said that the Pro model will have an always-on display.
Apple wants to put ads in its Maps app, which is another interesting fact. Paid search results will be changed to banner ads, and the App Store will get a new tab called “You Might Also Like.” At the moment, the company makes about $4 billion a year from advertising, but they want to increase that to around $10 billion.
The iPhone 14 is likely to come out in September from Apple. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the front cameras on the new phones will be the biggest upgrade since the iPhone 11.
The selfie camera will have auto-focus; which is the first time in the company’s history that it won’t use the FF solution. It will also have a bright f/1.9 lens and a 6P lens.
People are using the front-facing camera more and more for both serious video calls and silly dances for social media. Changing to AF will make the front camera more versatile. Genius will be the main company that makes the lens; while LG Innotek and Cowell will make the CCM (CMOS camera module).
Kuo said that Sony will once again make the sensor. No one knows if it will be different from the 12MP modules that the Japanese company already makes. But bringing a better lens and proper auto-focus sounds like a significant improvement even if you don’t change it.
